WOW. What an amazing wedding. One of my best friends, Jordan Wilday has tied the knot to his long-time girlfriend Erin. They make a really amazing couple. I think that they each bring out the best in one another. I am completely sure they will have the most amazing marriage. They are so happy with one another. They are both very fortunate.
Before the wedding, both families gathered at Erin's cottage here in Michigan. Their cottage is right on a lake here complete with Seadoos and a boat. We spent a bunch of time out on the water throwing frisbees, riding in the boat, or going tubing. It was a blast! Everyone has been so welcoming which has made it really easy to get to know both familes and friends.
After all the hanging out and relaxing at the cottage, it was finally time to get changed and cleaned up for the big event. The wedding went off without a hitch. Everything was perfect. Erin and Jordan looked amazing at the wedding and all the support from both sides of the families was awesome. We ended up taking pictures for about 3.5 hours before the wedding, then had the ceremony which then led onto the reception at the Traverse City Country Club. The reception was wonderful. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves on the dance floor and generally a very social crowd.

Today is the Sunday brunch. It should be just as wonderful as everything else has been. All in all, this was one amazing wedding. Congratulations Jordan and Erin. You guys make an amazing couple.
I arrived mid-day on Thursday in Traverse City Michigan, a full 2 days before the wedding to meet up with the whole crew. We needed to make sure we send Jordan off into wedlock properly by going out for bachelor party #2. What an awesome time! We played flippy cup for a few hours, went to some random bars "downtown" and then for me, that was it but the rest of the crew pushed on into the casinos. After flippy cup and red-bull vodkas for myself, I was done. Without further ado, I present the pictures!
I still remember going to see him back in 2000 at LA’s Laugh Factory and seeing his special on Comedy Central back in 1999. Here is one of his latest shows on Dave Attell’s Insomniac Tour:
Well, tonight is the last night here in California and it really has been a blast. It was awesome to be able to see all my friends here. They really are amazing and are definitely life-long friends. How did I get so lucky? I’m fortunate to be able to come out here and see them. I still cannot believe how 10 days went by in a blink of an eye. I was able to hit all the required spots: In and Out Burger (twice), Ruby’s, beach, Atrium Court, running Balboa island, working out at Big Canyon, and driving along the ocean in my family’s new IS350 (AWESOME car btw). The 4th of July was amazing and while I didn’t have a huge blow out party, the BBQ we had was great and I was able to see all my friends, their families, and become a kid again when playing with Megan and Andrew. (Some might say I’m a kid all the time lol)
Today I went to the beach with Jordan, Jeff Richter, and his girlfriend Cindy. We had a blast. I got a little too much sun but honestly, how can you not go to the beach on your last day and NOT get too much sun? Exactly.
It will be nice to get back into my routine again (read: gym, work, gym, work). However, I only have 3 weeks before it starts again when I go to Jordan’s wedding in Michigan and then on the following weekend I go to Las Vegas for Defcon with a ton of friends. Both of those trips will be CRAZY and you can expect some awesome/funny photos…

The 4th of July was great. My mom, threw an amazing BBQ with a ridiculous amount of delicious food, decorations, and all the details that go into a great party. We had over the course of the night at least 22 people here. It’s been great seeing everyone. The entire Cooper family came over and wow, I can’t believe how big Joey has gotten. He is now at least as tall as I am. Amazing how fast time flies. He used to sit on my shoulders as we ran around the house when he was 7 or 8. Gosh I’m getting old!
I was able to meet the new girlfriends of both Jeff Spreen and Jeff Richter. They were really great! My friends have done pretty well for themselves :).
So the night started off with just having a few drinks, catching up with friends and their families. The Hering family was doing excellent and it was nice seeing John’s mom and Clark. It then moved on to making these amazing burgers which were stuffed with spices, A1 sauce, onions, and other patent pending ingredients ;). The Sweeney’s stopped by a bit later and brought their two children, Megan and Andrew who have also grown like crazy. They were a lot of fun. They remind me of why I really want kids when I get older. Andrew and I went out on an expedition to find people with fireworks. Of course, to do this, Andrew had to ride on my shoulders. In fact, I think Andrew spent more time on my shoulders last night than he did on the ground.
Jeff Richter started up a crazy game of Phase 10 and I think people had a LOT of fun playing that. While the gang was embattled in the Phase 10 game, I ended up tossing Andrew around, doing pushups with him on my back, and basically acting like I was a kid which was great fun ;). (Oh wait, maybe I still am a kid?)
Last night all of my friends from California went out for my 27th (eek!) birthday at Flemming's Steak House. It was really awesome having the whole gang together for dinner. It has been a very long time since we all had been together at the same time. The biggest difference now is that 2 of my close friends now have wives and one couple has a baby on the way (Congrats Mark and Ali!)
It was great to be able to reminence about the "good 'ole days" whether it be racing to In and Out burger, nerding it up at Jeff Spreen's attic with Starcraft, or just hanging out on the beach. It really meant a lot that everyone was able to make it for dinner. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing set of friends.
And oh yeah, see that cake? It's the best cake in the world from Cheesecake Factory, called Black out cake. 1550 calories per slice! OUCH! (That's why I had a HUGE slice with tons of ice cream and promptly fell into a sugar comma for the night)
