JBOSS/Spring battle continue

Seriously, I just don't understand why the JBOSS folks take everything SOOO personally. If anyone uses a product other than one of the many they offer in their stack, they start going on the offensive…

Latest battle brewing here:

http://blogs.atlassian.com/rebelutionary/archives/000670.html#comments

It’s funny that the whole thing started by a blog post by an Atlassian employee (Spring user – making of JIRA and Confluence.. Great company)

I just can’t believe how arrogant some of the JBOSS folks are. It really makes me NOT want to use any of their stacks. Even their answers to questions in the hibernate forums tell their users to essentially f-ck off. I just can’t believe it. A link to that particular post is linked in the comments section above.

When you hear of Open Source database companies working together for the greater goodness of the community (Postgres/MySQL sharing vulnerability info), you really respect both companies. JBOSS on the other hand will NEVER ever compliment another team's work.

New Vodori Site launched

We launched a slightly updated version of our site today. The importance of this launch beyond just an updated visual refresh is that it is running on the Open Source CMS system we are using for our Open Source version of the Vodori Voice Platform. The CMS we are currently using is Magnolia. Head on over and let us know what you think!

That’s right everyone. 24 the movie is coming soon to theaters near you. Seriously, who did NOT see this coming?

“The big news out of the interview is there will be a “24″ movie filmed in the summer of ‘07 with a release in ‘08. The movie will still take place over a 24 hour period, but will consist of three 40-minute real-time parts allowing for Jack Bauer to travel greater distances during the course of the story and bring him to more varied locations.”
